Start up, Operation, Maintenance and Reliability of Rotating Equipment Course

Overview

Machines deteriorate and they get older so we can expect a certain amount of performance falloff and general deterioration of the machine.  If we understand the failure mechanism that is in place, we can identify which parameters best indicate the deterioration of the machine.

This training focus on the start-up and operation of these machines and their optimal maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. The training will also highlight the guidelines for efficient and safe operation, by indicating the important elements of safety control systems. It will cover root cause analysis (RCA), mode of failure, inspection for buses, bulkers, nozzle, bearing, repair method, oil analysis and relation with vibration analysis.

Training Objectives

This training will introduce participants to fundamentals of rotating equipment in oil and gas industry.  We will discuss different types of gas compressors, pumps and turbines and the importance of their design elements such as bearings, seals, filters, safety controls, and others

The training will cover areas such as:

  3. Measurement and control of performance of these machines
