Head of Sales

Job Title:            Head of Sales.

Type:                   Full Time.


Location:            Lagos.

Our client is a leading Engineering and Procurement Sourcing company.

The company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to lead our sales department in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth, enhance customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.


Sales Strategy and Planning:

– Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business goals and

revenue targets.

– Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

– Create sales plans and forecasts, setting short-term and long-term sales targets.

Team Leadership and Development:

– Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.

– Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team


– Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the

sales team.

Customer Relationship Management:

– Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

– Oversee the development and execution of customer retention strategies.

– Address customer issues and resolve conflicts to ensure customer satisfaction.

Sales Operations and Performance Monitoring:

– Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

– Implement and manage sales tools and CRM systems to streamline sales processes.

– Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.

Market Expansion and Business Development:

– Identify and pursue new market segments and opportunities for business growth.

– Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances.

– Lead negotiations and closing of major sales deals and contracts.

Budget Management:

– Develop and manage the sales department budget.

– Ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

– Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and

customer service to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

– Represent the sales department in cross-functional meetings and projects.

Academic Qualification & Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s

degree is an advantage.

– Proven experience (7+ years) in sales management or a similar leadership role.

– Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

– Excellent leadership and team management skills.

– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

– Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

– Knowledge of the engineering and procurement industry is a plus.

Remuneration: Between N700k per Month.
