PMI Exam Changes Due To COVID-19
PMI Exam Changes Due To COVID-19. As a forward thinking organization, PMI is committed to the safety and well-being of members of the professional community and have setup a Crisis Task Force that is continuously monitoring the situation arising from coronavirus (COVID-19) daily.
The impact of COVID-19 is global and rapidly affecting businesses, projections, organizations and operations across several industries. PMI and her operations have not been left out of this global situation and is currently taking steps to cushion the effects on members and certification aspirants.
How COVID-19 is affecting the PMP Exam
Pearson VUE has temporarily closed all U.S. and Canada-based Pearson Professional Centers (PPCs) until 16 April 2020, or whenever conditions are deemed safe to re-open.
For all certification exam candidates who are able to proceed with taking your scheduled exam, please consult test center information to your specific location at PearsonVUE’s Coronavirus Update Page as it is updated regularly.
For candidates who already scheduled the exam but are unable to take it due to health restrictions or delayed with training, PMI will offer you to reschedule your exam and will automatically extend your exam eligibility until 18 January 2021.
PMI is extending access to the current PMP® exam until 31 December 2020 and postponing the launch of the new PMP exam until 2 January 2021.
Currently, PMI is actively exploring and expediting solutions to offer alternative PMP exam delivery options, and will share more information as it becomes available.
PMI will automatically extend all candidates’ exam eligibility periods through 18 January 2021.
Exam reschedule fees will be waived and if a candidate recently rescheduled an exam and paid a fee, PMI will refund it.
