Reporting Line: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Jos, Plateau State

Salary Range: N250,000.00 to N300,000.00 (monthly gross)

Job Summary

The Business Analyst/Strategist will play a critical role in analyzing business operations and developing strategic initiatives to drive growth and efficiency. This position requires a data-driven professional with strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to provide insights into business performance.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
3. Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies and plans.
4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
5. Perform financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
6. Analyze financial statements and operational metrics to assess business health and performance.
7. Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
8. Recommend and implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize business operations.
9. Lead and manage strategic projects from initiation to completion.
10. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business goals.
11. Work closely with Executive Management to understand business needs and priorities.
12. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
13. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
14. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

●   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
●   3 years of experience in business analysis, strategy development, or a related field.
●   Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
●   Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
●   Experience in a specific industry relevant to the company’s operations.
●   Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
●   Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
●   Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
●   Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
●   Proven project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
●   Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to business challenges.
●   Strong organizational and time management skills.
